Phivolcs has lowered Mayon’s alert level from 4 to 3 following the volcano’s lull in activity for the past days.
In response to this, Albay Governor Joey Salceda has ordered the return of more than 7,000 families from at least 20 evacuation centers to their respective dwellings, they belong to those who are inside the 7-kilometer to 8-kilometer extended danger zones of the volcano. Meanwhile, those who reside within the 4-kilometer to 6-kilometer danger zones are still to remain in the evacuation centers until further notice from Phivolcs.
